Man Arrested For Setting Co-Tenant On Fire

A bar attendant in Alajo, Godwin Tetteh, has been arrested after he allegedly set a co-tenant on fire.

Cindy Aidoo, the victim, is currently receiving treatment at the 37 Military Hospital for her injuries.

According to the police, the incident occurred around dawn on Monday.

The suspect, Tetteh, invited the victim to his room late at night to discuss some issues with her.

As she was leaving after the discussion, Tetteh allegedly came up behind her and strangled her.

She fell unconscious, and woke with her body on fire.

She was rushed to the Maamobi Government Hospital for treatement, from where she has been transferred to 37.

When arrested, Tetteh claimed he did not set Cindy on fire. He said after their conversation, he went to bed and later returned to find Cindy on fire.

Investigations into the case continue.
