Young director Kemist Gold has thrown shade at D-Black, denying the latter’s claim that he directed the acclaimed music video to Joey B’s ‘Cigarette’.
Speaking on Metro Tv, Gold said D-Black only made the claim because he wanted hype, and that he (Kemist) carried out all the hard work.
“I did all the work but for some reason he wanted me to put his name on it as a co-director.” he said.
“We were going back and forth on the issue so I just took my name of it.”
But the burgeoning star said he has no qualms about anyone putting his name on the video so long as he gets paid.
“In any case if people go to him to shoot a video he will still send them to me because he knows I shot it. I don’t need the fame just payment for my work is enough”
