Legendary singer Akosua Agyapong has joined the chorus of voices describing the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) as corrupt.
Shatta Wale made news in recent days when he called on GHAMRO to pay him his royalties, or else… he would go ‘haywire’.
That call by Wale is just part of a larger narrative about GHAMRO not paying musicians any royalties.
Akosua Agyapong seems to agree with all these criticisms of GHAMRO, launching some of her own during an appearance on Atinka earlier today.
When asked about those running the organization, she said they are simply embezzling the cash and she has no desire to describe them as her executives.
‘They are so selfish and think about themselves alone by squandering royalties from the ministry, radio stations, spinners and the rest and you call them executives? They are not my executives!’’ she angrily said.
According to her, Rex Omar and his cohorts at the Organization are simply in there for their own gain.
