A church in Gbawe-Borla collapsed Sunday during service, with about fifteen church members reported injured.
According to the Daily Guide, the Christ Life Ministry, headed by Apostle Samuel Binney, was holding their weekly church service in the uncompleted structure which houses the church when the tragedy occurred.
Rain hit the capital Sunday accompanied by strong winds, and the forces of nature where reportedly responsible for the tragedy.
The church is still under construction, so the members where using a wooden structure within the premises, which collapsed due to the rains.
About fifteen people were injured due to the accident, and were carted away to hospital for treatment. Most of the injured were women and children.
The rains had depressed turnout for the service, which luckily meant the number of people who could have been injured was on the low side.
