Forbes Magazine has released its annual list of the richest stars in hip hop and frankly, there isn’t much to be surprised about on the list.
The top five remain unchanged, as does the one with the top spot.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs remains the richest rapper on the planet, with a net worth of $820 million. No.2 is Jay Z, who has moved incredibly close to Diddy over the past year, now worth an estimated $810m. The increase is mainly due to the new Sprint-Tidal partnership, which dramatically increased the value of Tidal.
Coming in at 3 is Dr Dre, the creator of ‘Beats’. The artist born Andre Young is worth an estimated $740m.

From there it’s a steep decline to the no.4 and 5. Cash Money CEO Birdman comes in at 4th, worth $110m, whilst Canadian rapper Aubrey Graham, trade name Drake, completes the list at 5th with an estimated net worth of $90m.
