Heaven’s Gate Ministries Founder and Leader, Prophet Kumchacha, has criticised Ghanaians for complaining too much about paying consultation fees.
It’s now pretty much a given that to see any of these new age pastors, one has to pay a sort of ‘consultation fee’. It’s pretty big business for them.
Kumchacha, in a recent interview has defended the practice. According to him, he doesn’t work for COCOBOD or any wealthy organisation therefore being a preacher is his source of wealth.
He therefore needs the consultation fee and other fees for his upkeep.
“I don’t work for COCOBOD so when you come to my church and I charge you for a consultation fee, I don’t expect you to complain because if I don’t take that money how do I dress to impress when you see me in town or on your TV when preaching” he rhetorically asked.
He also said it’s not a sin to take part of the church’s offertory to use for your own gain including for food, entertainment, advertisement and others.
“It is not a sin to use part of one’s annual income contributed by members for the upkeep of servants of God..” he added.
