Highlife musician Kwasi Pee has fingered his musical comrade Bisa Kdei as one of the artistes who pushes his music with money to DJs (an unprofessional act called Payola) and that’s the reason behind Bisa Kdei’s consistent relevance.
According to Kwasi Pee, from his experience, his music gains airwaves traction when he puts money behind it and now that he doesn’t do that, his songs gets less attention. He told Joy News.
Bisa Kdei in reply to Pee’s claim stated that he doesn’t pay payola but he only shows loves to those who broadcast his music.
“I don’t pay Payola … Payola, I can’t speak about it but I mean somebody doing something for you and you appreciating them is not Payola 3y3 odor” Bisa Kdei told Mama Gee of Joy News.
Ditching out an advice to Kwesi Pee, the “Brother Brother” crooner says the former should only give his music to the right people and it will gain airwaves attention.
“We are all doing great, he just need the right people, he just need to give his song to the right people to be able to get it played across” Bisa Kdei added.
