Golden State Warriors Trash LeBron James’ Cavaliers To Win 2017 NBA Finals

Kevin Durant scored 39pts and won finals MVP as the Golden State Warriors won Game 5 of the NBA finals to carry the series 4-1.

The Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 to win their second title in three years and avenge last year’s gut-wrenching finals defeat.

The Warriors had taken a 3-0 lead in the finals series, but lost Game 4 to a resurgent Cavaliers side in Cleveland on Saturday.

The win brought back whispers of a possible comeback to rival last year’s – when LeBron James led his team to claw their way back from a 3-1 deficit to win the finals 4-3.

But the Warriors were in no mood to lose another final after last year’s fiasco, and Curry and Durant led them to an impressive win, giving KD the first title of his illustrious career.

For James and Cleveland, it’s back to the drawing board to figure out a way to beat this near invincible Warriors side – who would most likely be the opponents waiting for them if they manage to qualify for next year’s finals.
