The Kwesi Botchwey report into the factors behind the NDC’s 2016 electoral defeat fingered former first lady Lordina Mahama as one of the contributing factors.
The report was released this week, although the NDC are treating like a national security document.
MP for Odododiodio constituency, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, spoke about portions of the report with Joy News earlier today.
According to him, Lordina was one of the people cited in the report as having contributed to the party’s defeat.
“She was cited several times in the report and certain recommendations were also given” Vanderpuye said.
The lawmaker, however, was quick to empahise that they all played a role in the loss, and that blame was by no means shared only by the former President and his wife.
The 13 member Kwesi Botchwey committee was empaneled by the opposition party after their miserable loss in last year’s poll, to conduct a sort of autopsy on the party’s campaign to discover what exactly went wrong.
