The Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) have legally taken control of half of all money seized from the frozen bank accounts of drug baroness, Nayele Ametefe.

In a breakdown of the seized funds authorised by the judiciary, the court hearing the case gets 30% of the seized funds, with the remaining 20% being put into the Consolidated Fund.

The Deputy Executive Director of NACOB, Michael Addo, made the revelation of the breakdown in a Joy News interview.

Other, non cash assets of Nayele’s seized have already been donated to orphanages and drug rehab centres in the country.

Nayele, the infamous drug baroness, was arrested in London in 2014 attempting to smuggle a large quantity of cocaine into the country. She has since been hit with a 8 year jail term which she’s currently serving.
