Obrafour has expressed deep disappointment and embarrassment at the level of music we make in Ghana these days.

The legendary rapper, who took the rap game to a whole other level when he debuted in the 90’s, said the music industry has gotten so bad that he wouldn’t allow his children to listen to some of what is played on radio these days.

Obrafour told RTV Ghana that contemporary music doesn’t send out the right messages and is even capable of corrupting the young ones, so he’d rather turn off the radio when music is being played than allow his kids to listen.

“I see it embarrassing to allow my kids listen to some of the contemporary music being played on radio. I’ll rather tune off the radio than allow them to listen because some lyrics in the songs are not good for radio,” Obrafour said.

He added that aside the filthy lyrics, there was a lack of clear concepts and worthwhile content in music coming out these days.
