The Black Stars of Ghana have been drawn against hosts India, the United States and Colombia for the upcoming Fifa U-17 World Cup.
At the draw held in Mumbai earlier today, Ghana received a tough draw, including a game against host nation India.
The tournament kicks off on October 6, and runs till October 28. Ghana qualified by placing second at the recent African junior championships.
As you’ll probably know, Ghana vrs India is a very famous match in Ghanaian history – when the Black Stars allegedly suffered their heaviest defeat ever, by 100-1 – to a spiritually backed Indian team. India were allegedly banned from Fifa competition due to this game.
Well, that was the story, it was never proven.
In October however, we’ll take on India once again, and we’ll know once and for all whether they still have those powers or not.
