Shatta Wale says he was ready to attend Stonebwoy’s wedding and even had bought a special suit for it, but he did not receive an invitation.
Being Stonebwoy’s biggest rival, many have wondered why Shatta Wale was not present for the wedding and he has come out to clear the air.
Speaking to Abeiku Santana, the self proclaimed ‘dancehall king’ said he wanted to attend but he received no invitation.
“He didn’t invite me! If he invited me, I would have attended. On that day, I took my Range Rover to the washing base with some Camaro and my Benz. I would have gone with a whole convoy and I have a special suit, I wanted to wear to the wedding but he didn’t invite me”, he said.
Asked if he really would have attended if he was invited given the rivalry between the two of them, Wale said he no doubt will have attended.
“Oh yes! [I would have attended]. Because I really like weddings.”
“[Not being invited] is not nice at all. You know we are one people”. he added.
Many would say Shatta is being a hypocrite because we all know how he constantly mocks Stonebwoy and how bitter he was after the latter received a BET award and he didn’t. There’s simply no evidence that he would have attended the wedding if invited.
