Dancehall Diva, Grace Kakie Ocansey popular known as Kaakie has confirmed she’s parted ways with her Xtra Large Music management run by Jam Master J.
Detailing the breakup, Kaakie said she was pressured to sign a woeful contract which she didn’t understand because she was only 20 years then and anxious. Leaving her not to own any of the songs she did in the past 6 years and she has to start all over again.
Kaakie said she has virtually lost everything in her career and she has to start afresh like the Kaakie back in the days who just came out from “Stars of the Future” with nothing. She, however, noted that she foresaw the bad clauses in the contract but she had no choice. “I saw the clauses weren’t favourable at all but still I signed,” she told Berla Mundi.

“I was given the contract on Wednesday and my Mum decided that a Lawyer is going to review it on Saturday and Jam Master J said that if I don’t bring it back by Friday, we don’t have a contract … so I was pressured to sign,” she added.
The “Too Much” singer also revealed that she was forced to do Dancehall and having her own way now, she’ll prefer to be versatile though she likes Dancehall.
Speaking GhOne’s on Rythmz Live, Kaakie said she hasn’t been contacted by any new management body interested in signing her as speculated.
