'Sarkodie Is The Only Rapper Taking Ghana High' – Says Fellow Rapper C-Zar

Rapper C-Zar says the only rapper putting Ghana over on the international stage is Sarkodie,
The ‘Mercy Lokko’ hitmaker, who is rightly regarded as arguably the worst rapper in the country, said Ghanaian music has lost its uniqueness and thus is failing to break onto the international stage.
Speaking on Accra Fm, C-Zar said the only rapper making Ghana proud internationally is Sarkodie.
“Apart from Sarkodie who is taking Ghana to another level?” C-Zar asked show host Nana Romeo.
“Honestly speaking, the rest of the rappers are not taking us anywhere. Sarkodie is the only rapper taking Ghana high.”
He continued:  “Today, almost all of our songs have turned rap music; it appears if you can’t rap you are out of the game or you can’t do music. This has allowed the Nigerian artistes to take over, because, they have taken the highlife beats and are using their dialects, their pidgin to sing and the foreigners relate with them more than us because they have developed their own style.
“We in Ghana are copying western rappers verbatim and so Ghana music has messed up and that’s how I see it.
“There are a few people like Kofi Kinaata and Wuta with their hit song ‘Bronya’ which today, both young and old are singing and dancing to.” he added.
