Now it looks like defending the smoking of weed is the new trend—in this recent past we had Samini defending the smoking of weed, further adding that it should be legalised since it can accrue a lot of money for the country.
We woke to reggae artiste, Ekow Micah defending this same stance and even quoted biblical verses that supports his claims.
According to Ekow, he smokes because God himself smoked. Citing Psalm 18:7-8 as his defence tool he told Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review:
“Then the earth reeled and rocked; the foundations also of the mountains trembled and quaked, because he was angry. Smoke went up from his nostrils, and devouring fire from his mouth; glowing coals flamed forth from him”.
He further added that, wee is food for Rastafarians and it is just like eating any leafy green like kontomire, noting that whereas some prefer alcohol, he opts for weed.
“Wee” is food for Rastafarians, some prefer alcohol “akpeteshie”, but for me I prefer “wee” like how some people enjoy Cocoyam leaves (Kontomire).”
Ekow has been arrested and tried for possessing wee, where he was later acquitted and discharged by an Accra Circuit Court.
