The results of the 2017 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has been released by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and students of one particular school are smiling all the way home.
All final year students of Pure City International School managed to pass the exam with distinction, the results show.
A relatively new school – this is only the second batch of students to take the final exams – Pure City has still managed to instil the ethos of academic excellence within their student body.
As a result, the most desired results for the final year students managed to come to fruition.
Pure City International School is a new private school located at Ga-Odumase, near Pokuase, in the Ga West District of the Greater Accra Region.
The school possesses an ultra modern academic block with spacious classrooms, highly trained professional teachers, an ultra modern library, Science lab and a well equipped ICT lab – all of which combined provides the perfect learning environment for students.
Pure City aims to build up students for higher education who are not only academically superior but morally upright as well, as spelled out in their vision statement.
The school prioritizes excellence of their students above all else, and have the results to show for it so far.
In 2016, when the first batch of students took the BECE, they all similarly passed with distinction, establishing a track record of a school where nothing but a perfect performance is acceptable.
Just as it was done in 2016, the over all best BECE student for this year will be sponsored by the school throughout the individual’s SHS education and also throughout University.
