The President and Executive Chairman of Eurostar Limousine Group, Oscar Doe, says actress Yvonne Nelson was in the wrong for attacking his industry which he says creates jobs for people just like acting.
Doe’s comments come in response to Nelson’s recent comments hitting at actresses who do nothing in the industry but ‘slay’ on the red carpet, comments which sparked a feud between herself and Nana Akua Addo.
Doe, speaking on Hitz Fm, said the red carpet slaying also creates new stars and should not be discounted.
“You are Yvonne Nelson, you cannot discount this red-carpet fashion which also creates opportunities for other unknown people to become stars.” he said.
“Fashion is an amazing industry. Look at how the makeup artistes are popping up.” he added.
Doe said the recent trend of celebrities ‘slaying’ on the red carpet has actually made people more excited about fashion and should not be denigrated by actresses like Nelson.
