Agya Koo says the newly implemented free SHS policy by the NPP government might just tempt him to go to school to get that education that he never really got the first time.
The actor, a noted NPP supporter, said the newly implemented policy would give the opportunity for up and coming young people to get the educational opportunities that was not available some years back to people like himself.
The Free SHS policy, a campaign promise of the ruling NPP, was implemented to much fanfare this week as senior high schools reopened all across the country.
And whilst it has been fraught with challenges, Agya Koo argued its benefits far outweigh its limitations.
According to him, whilst Free SHS costs a lot, the educating the citizenry now is far better than having an unskilled population which would be a burden on the economy.
Speaking on Oman Fm, he said he might take advantage of the policy himself and go back to school.
“We did not get this opportunity so parents whose wards are benefiting should take advantage of the free SHS”. he added.
