SCANDAL: SSNIT Spends Ghc 79m To Purchase Pocket Diaries

Yet another scandal has hit the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), the company that struggles to pay pensioners but has $72m to spend on a useless software.
SSNIT spent Ghc 79m to purchase pocket diaries in 2016.
According to an expose by Adom Fm’s Captain Smart, the diaries were purchased for the whopping sum of Ghc 79m and are meant to be used in 2018.
That’s $17.9m on diaries.
It’s only in Ghana that we spend money on all these useless stuff but never spend money on things that matter like buying equipment for hospitals in the country or providing housing for the citizenry.
SSNIT is a company which screws over old pensioners, who after working their whole lives and paying money to SSNIT find themselves on meagre pensions which are no use to them, but they managed to spend a combined $90m on diaries and a software.
Sometimes when you hear these figures you wonder whether there’s something wrong with your hearing.
