Three players have been shortlisted for the Fifa Best Player of the Year award, the world football governing body has announced.
Reigning world player of the year, Cristiano Ronaldo leads the trio, alongside former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr.
Ronaldo remains the favourite to win the award once again after another stellar year in which he led Real Madrid to the Spanish La Liga crown and the UEFA Champions League.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane and Juventus’ Massimiliano Allegri compete for the coach of the year award.
The Fifa awards come off on the night of October 23 at the London Palladium.
