Most at times Ghanaians take their political disagreements too far, insulting each other and fighting non stop over whose party is the best.
These are common floor members who personally even have no stake in the party and are not making anything from it.
Yet those who make all the money are friends when the cameras are turned off and eat and drink together, but those of us at the bottom keep fighting.
According to Musician/Comedian A Plus, who declared his undying support for the NPP in the last elections, most of his friends are NDC supporters.
Speaking to KOD on Starr fm, A Plus made it clear that whilst he despises the NDC’s style of governance, which is why he declared for the NPP, he is on cool terms with many people in the party.
“I’m a member of the NPP and I became a member because of the love for President Akufo-Addo. I’m a strong NPP member. I believe the NPP way of governance but 90 percent of my friends are NDC, most of the people I call to go and sit down and eat ‘omo Tuo’ are NDC people. The fact that I belong to NPP doesn’t mean we are enemies, we talk, eat, chat and do a lot together”. he said.
“I don’t like…, the party, however, I like the people; Chief Biney [and] Captain Akamba are my very good friends. We have to be able to separate politics and relationship with people. I don’t like your party, I will never vote for you but I like the way you relate to people.” he added.
