Appiah Stadium's Arrest Shows Ghana Is An Autocratic State — Mzbel

The arrest of NDC serial caller Appiah Stadium, essentially for calling the President a ‘drug addict’, has sparked massive discussion over how free speech would be exercised in Akufo-Addo’s Ghana.
The President himself, following the arrest, released a statement expressing zero interest in pursuing a case against Appiah Stadium, but he was still arrested for speaking ill of the President.
Many have condemned the action, and latest to join is singer and NDC supporter Mzbel.
Mzbel has been sharing posts of people stating their opinions on the case she agrees with, and oneĀ in particular caught our eye.
The post ends with a claim that Ghana is now an autocratic state under President Akufo-Addo.
Mzbel shared it on her page to her numerous followers, implying she agreed with the assessment.
