The argument of whether it is appropriate for a gospel artiste to perform on a show sponsored by an alcoholic beverage company or sharing the same stage with secular musicians is a never ending one because people have distinct views on the subject.
Whereas some gospel musicians would not mingle with the likes of such “sinners”, others like Celestine Donkor says she does not give a rat ass to that.
According to the artiste, it is really not relevant to even take that into consideration since in such instances, propagating the gospel is of utmost importance rather than any other but’s.
Her stance follows concerns by people on why gospel artistes would appear at events sponsored by alcoholic beverages which seem contrary to what they are preaching.
Speaking on Hitz with FM Franky5 on the “This is Gospel” show, she said:
“I am not the host of the programme and I am not endorsing the alcoholic beverage,” she stated.
Celestine Donkor explained: “I am only using that stage to project the Gospel to the people of God.”
