Floods hit Accra today following hours of rainfall in the early hours of the day.
It was the same old story again as numerous parts of the capital flooded.
One notable casualty of the rains this year was former President Jerry John Rawlings. The walls surrounding his residence at Ridge in Accra was flattened by the flood waters.
Photos have sneaked online showing the damage, which was quite extensive. Police officers have also been spotted on the ground guarding the exposed residence.

The return of the floods are no surprise, as it happens many times each year. Reports from other parts of the country even notes people dead from the floods.
