The backlash against Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ reached a comical low when Prophet Kumchacha revealed that he would go to court to sue for the song not to be played anymore.
Probably no one told Kumchacha that getting songs off the air is not exactly the reason why the judiciary exists, but he came to spew his ignorance anyway and now Ampaw is setting him straight.
Speaking on the lawsuit, the former lawyer of Lawrence Abrokwah said a court cannot stop Ghanaians from singing or dancing to ‘One Corner’. However, he advised the preacher on other means he could get his way in getting the song banned.
“It is not easy to sue a song and what is the capacity for the suit? A judge cannot prevent people from listening and dancing to the song”. he said.
He added that Kumchacha could petition Parliament for legislation to be passed against the song, or he liases with schools and churches to prevent the song from being played.
“Grown up who sings and dance to the song are irresponsible and do not think” Ampaw concluded with his own attack on ‘One Corner’.
