We don’t know if you call this ‘poetic justice’ or not but that’s what happened to a lawyer, who was on his way to court to defend his two armed robbery clients.
Yaw Darkwa was rushing to court in a taxi, set to appear in an armed robbery case representing the defendants when he got a little taste of robbery himself.
According to adomonline, whilst going to court, the driver claimed to have lost his way and thus asked the lawyer to get down and ask for directions.
Having left his briefcase and suit in the car, the driver took advantage and just sped off, leaving him standing by the roadside.
His briefcase contained his laptop, phone, case dockets and other personal effects.
Darkwa had to borrow a suit and race to court anyway, where the judge handed a 15 year sentence to his two clients.
So all in all, a no good, very bad day for lawyer Darkwa.
