Olakunle Churchill, the ex-husband of Tonto Dikeh who has been embroiled in a bitter divorce settlement with her, has received a new award in Canada.
The Big Church Foundation, an NGO part of the Big Church group founded by the entrepreneur, received the ‘Humanitatian Award’ at the 2017 AfroGlobal Television Awards.
The award was presented to Churhcill by the Hon. Peter Fonseca, Member of Parliament for Mississauga East-Cooksville, on behalf of the Canadian government.
“I’m overwhelmed by the magnitude of honor that these awards hold and I’m truly grateful”. said Olakunle.
“We as Nigerians should tell our stories ourselves. Let the people in other parts of the world see and understand what our people have gone through due to Religious and Ethical Intolerance. The Big Church Group has always and will continue to preach the importance of promoting peaceful coexistence; religious and ethical tolerance amongst other things, which are important strands for national peace”.
Tonto Dikeh and former hubby Churchill were married for a couple of years and have a son together, but recently separated in an ugly affair filled with accusations and counter accusations.
