Ghana Police has released a statement saying they have arrested a 30-year old man they believe was behind a WhatsApp prank which stated that the Accra Mall had been attacked by terrorists.
Though the Police have not named the detainee, GhanaCelebrities.Com has obtained his name as Ebenezer Boadi, a young Travel Agent.
According to a WhatsApp conversation (below) which took place between Ebenezer Boadi and a friend immediately before his arrest, he states that had nothing to do with the said hoax.
Ebenezer, who was distressed stated in the conversation that, he received a WhatsApp broadcast and also sent it out to friends–as mostly done and that he was never the individual behind it.
