King of the loudmouths in Ghana music, Shatta Wale, says every VGMA Artist of the Year winner from 2013 till now should know that their award does not belong to them but to him.
Wale has been in a long running feud with Charterhouse which has kept him from participating in their annual awards show, and according to him he would easily have won the awards if he took parts and therefore those who’ve won it are hardly legitimate.
“From 2013 to 2017, all the awards winners for the ‘Artiste of the Year’ should know I deserved it. They shouldn’t think they worked hard.” Wale said.
According to him, he’s not been treated fairly in the industry which is why he’s never given what he deserves.
Wale is never lacking in confidence, as we know. He’s long declared himself the ‘dancehall king’ in Ghana and sees no one else as being on his level.
Since 2013, when he made his comeback, VGMA artist of the year winners include R2Bees, Stonebwoy, E.L and Joe Mettle – excluding 2014 when Wale participated in and won the ultimate.
