The Netflix crew who shot the 2015 blockbuster ‘Beasts of No Nation’ are back in Ghana working on another movie – and it’s causing quite the stir.
Their filming led to the blockade of one of the roads leading into Parliament earlier this week and MP’s were furious about the blockade.
The shooting of the new movie by the ‘Beasts of No Nation’ crew led to the shutdown of the eastern entry gate of Parliament, forcing all MPs to use the Western Gate.
On the floor of the house, a livid MP for Aowin, Mathias Kwame Ntow, voiced his displeasure.
“When I got to the gate, the road had been blocked. I was told a movie was going on. Mr. Speaker I am so much concerned because this the second arm of the government of the Republic of Ghana…Now we have only one gate, in case of any eventuality, where do we go? Mr Speaker I think it is something we need to investigate and find out,” he said.
Other MPs echoed the sentiment, expressing outrage over the blockade.
The Netflix crew, who first discovered Attah in Ghana and led him on the unforgettable journey which ended with him presenting an award at the Academy Awards, are said to be back in Ghana shooting another movie, this one titled ‘Forgiving Earth’.
