The two rival dancehall acts are somehow reviving their beef again and Cwesi Oteng has bemoaned Shatta Wale to be mindful of what comes out of his ‘gbe naabu’ and respect Samini no matter what the case may be today.
According to the Gospel musician, Samini is one notable musician who introduced the dancehall genre in Ghana and was persistent and consistent with it leading it to be an attractive thing before the Kinds of Wale jumped into it.
Speaking to Regina Van Helvert on Gh One Tv, he detailed that Shatta Wale ought to respect Samini as the father of Dancehall because Ghanaians know he (Samini) is a pioneer in it.
He continued that, Wale’s reign will not last forever and just as he came to topple Mr Dagaati’s regime, a younger person will also emerge and take him down. With this reasoning, the Gospel Minister said whatever the self-acclaimed dancehall King is doing to his father (Samini) it will be done to him (Shatta) if he doesn’t set a good example.

“He thinks he is only the star, some small boy will rise in Ghana here … People will rise in Ghana here and when they rise, how Shatta Wale came and everybody followed like Samini wasn’t the King … It happens and so when it’s your time you honour those who have been here already. If you disrespect them, there’s a generation that will come and disrespect you, it’s life” He said on Rythmz One On One and added that he has equal love for all the dancehall stars.
