Highlife star Ofori Amponsah aka Mr All 4 Real has revealed the pivotal role Daddy Lumba played in getting his career to kick off.
The ‘Otoolege’ hitmaker said the legendary singer told him he was a star the first time he ever heard him sing.
Ofori Amponsah has over the years built up a successful career with hit after hit after hit, and it all started many years ago when he got the chance to audition for the legendary Daddy Lumba.
The man known as ‘Pastor Alewa’ said someone suggested he should play his song for Daddy Lumba because he’s super talented.
“I played my song to a guy at Lapaz and he told me I am a very great artiste as such I should send my song to Daddy Lumba to listen and push me. When I got there, one guy was furiously dissing Lumba for not listening to his album so I was scared to enter his house.
“I did submit the single and he invited me later amidst all the people who were waiting on him. When I entered his room, he gave me an envelope with some cash and told me I am a star. My music and voice he said were unique.
“Daddy Lumba taught me a lot…you use the bricks that people are throwing at you to build a house…,” he said.
