Former Arsenal and Cote d’Ivoire international footballer Emmanuel Eboue recently revealed the sad story of how he was driven to the brink of suicide after losing all his money.
Eboue played for Arsenal and Galatasary in a storied career earning millions of dollars, but spends his nights sleeping in a friends house these days.
His plight is due to financial mismanagement and losing a divorce battle with his ex-wife, who was awarded all his money plus his house too.
Speaking in a recent interview, the 34 year old revealed he has suicidal thoughts these days following his sad situation.
Upon the publication of his story, one of his former clubs has jumped to the Ivorian’s rescue.
Galatasary have offered him a job as a coach with its U-14 team. The job would pay a decent salary and help him get back on his feet.
“We heard news about Eboue in the dressing room, I was informed there, we will do whatever we can to help my friend.” Gala manager Fatih Terim told CNN Turk.
