Reading a piece of article to gain an information or knowledge is very difficult for the Ghanaian and you do not have to be surprised when an industry insider like Eddy Nartey comes to tell you that Ghanaian actors and actresses do not like reading hence the ‘collapse’ of the industry.
Movie director and producer, Eddy Nartey has attributed the ‘tortoise’ nature of the Ghanaian movie industry to the fact that most actors and actress do not read their script before moving to set for their shoot.
According to Eddy Nartey, actors and actresses do not read the scripts provided by the hard-working movie producers hence making it difficult for them to interpret their roles on set.
Eddy continued that a lot of factors like indiscipline, lateness and others account for the lack of interest of producers to invest their hard earned resources and time in movies.
Eddy Nartey in an interview on Accra-based Zylofon FM stressed that complacency has also eaten deep into the heads of most actors and actresses.
