I've Lost A Brother And Friend — Former President Mahama Responds To Death Of Alhaji Bature


Former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed shock at the passing of Alhaji Bature, lamenting the loss of a good brother and a friend.
Bature, a popular NDC firebrand, passed away on Friday, January 5th, at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after battling illness for a while.
Reports have it he died after suffering a stroke.
Responding to the news on social media, Mahama was pained at the loss of the staunch NDC follower.
“Sudden news of the passing of my brother and friend, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu. This is a great personal loss and for the NDC family. His wit and great sense of analysis will be sorely missed.  May Allah the Merciful grant him Jannatul Firdaus.” Mahama wrote on Facebook.
Bature was a former presenter at the NDC radio station Radio Gold, and was managing editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper until his death. He was an unabashed fierce critic of the NPP.
