There have been a lot of controversies surrounding the just ended CAF Aiteo Awards which was held at the Accra International Conference Center.
First, it was Shatta Wale pocketing $30,000 and failing to perform at the event and now its Ghana booking agency complaining about Nigerians domination on the night.
The Ghanaian booking agency responsible for getting artistes to perform at the event–CAF Awards, BookMe World Agency has shockingly revealed that the event was hijacked by the Nigerian event organiser even to the extent that water that was served at the event was by Nigerians.
Speaking on Accra-based Joy FM, a representative of BookMe World Agency indicated that all efforts to pave way for Ghanaian artistes to perform proved futile, they kept prompting event organisers but all seemed to fall on the deaf ears of organisers and that resulted in foreign artistes dominating the stage.
He said “at the awards, even the person who was sharing the water was Nigerian. So many things went wrong on the show”, adding that “I was hitting the production people when are my artistes going to perform and they came saying they will”.
Ghanaians have expressed their displeasure on how Ghanaian artistes were sidelined at the 2017 Aiteo CAF awards even though they were billed to perform.
