Veteran Ghanaian recording artiste based in the UK, Akata Stone, has endorsed Ebony’s socially conscious single ‘Maame Hw3’ for VGMA Most Popular Song of the Year at the soon to be held awards.
According to Stone, who has remixed the single, the song deserves to win the award for its message and Charterhouse must reward Ebony for that and not dish it out to artists who they are friendly with.
The always controversial Ebony, who is in the news again after showing off her underwear recently, shocked everyone with the release of ‘Maame Hw3’, which deals with domestic violence against women.
It was a departure from her usual erotically themed songs.
Akata Stone, who has remixed the song, said he decided to do so because the song was a major surprise to him coming from Ebony.
“…I was very surprised controversial Ebony could produce such a delicious song…Intact ,the song is very educative, and as a dancehall artiste ,I always want to educate people with my songs; so immediately I heard the song I decided to remix it which I cautioned women against falling in love with Sakawa Boys”, he told Razzonline.
”I will be extremely surprised if Maame Hw3’ doesn’t win the ‘Song Of the Year at this Year’s VGMAs…this is the time CharterHouse must come out clean by awarding deserving artistes not friendship artistes”, he added.
