TV Stations Ignore Local Content Because They Want To Broadcast Quality Programs — Kalybos

Local filmakers are always complaining that our tv stations do not broadcast their content and instead concentrate on foreign content such as Kumkum Bhagya.
In fact, some of them are lobbying for a law to be established to force these stations to broadcast a certain percentage of local content on their airwaves.
The argument has always been that should we patronize local content no matter how bad they are, simply because they are local?
Kalybos has weighed in on the issue and says we cannot blame local tv stations for broadcasting foreign content because they are looking for quality content.
According to him, our local filmakers should rather focus on creating quality rather than blaming the tv stations.

“One thing I have noticed about Ghanaians is that we do not do in-depth studies to move ahead in our craft. Most of our productions here, our productions houses, the crew , they mostly don’t know, mostly they learn on the job,” he added.
