President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sought to calm speculations that he’s interested in legalizing homos*xuality in Ghana, saying that’s not on his agenda.
The President had a press soiree today, January 17th, to mark his first year in office and took questions from assembled pressmen on all sorts of issues.
Akufo-Addo, who caused a firestorm recently when he said during an interview with Al-Jazeera that legalization of homos*xulaity was ‘bound to happen’ in Ghana, sought to clarify his position at the event.
He said that homos*xuality was anathema to Ghanaian culture and he was not going to legalize it during his tenure.
