Vice President Bawumia Flown To The UK For Medical Care Following Health Scare

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has been flown to the United Kingdom for medical treatment following the health scare he suffered Friday.
Bawumia’s trip was announced by the Presidency, with a statement saying his UK trip is on the advice of his doctors.
The Veep fell ill early Friday, as we reported, and was placed under medical observation.
A new statement released this morning has clarified that late Friday, he left the country for treatment in the U.K.

The statement, posted on the Presidency’s official website, reads:

VICE PRESIDENT LEAVES FOR THE UNITED KINGDOM

The Vice President of the Republic, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on Friday, 19th January, 2018, left Ghana for the United Kingdom for medical leave, on the advice of his doctors. He was accompanied by the 2nd Lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia.
