Former President of Ghana, John Jerry Rawlings has revealed that it took him five years to get the full attention of his wife, Mrs Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.
The couple who have been married since 1977 are blessed with five children namely, Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Kimathi Rawlings, Amina Rawlings, Yaa Asantewaa Rawlings, Ezenator Rawlings.
The couple when it comes to the political history of Ghana cannot be forgotten, they’ve played a major in the political stability of Ghana. Their legacy has been passed on to their eldest daughter, Dr Zanetor Rawlings who is now the incumbent Member of Parliament for the KorleKlottey Constituency under the umbrella of the National Democratic Congress–a party founded by her father.

The former President detailing how he met his wife on Yvonne Okoro’s yet to be aired Dining with Cooks and Braggarts show, revealed that it took him five good years to win the heart of Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.
He indicated that after being stretched for some time as most women do, he invited Nana Konadu, asked her out and she accepted without delays. He added that it came as a surprise to him since she showed no interest in him previously.
