Daughter of former President of the Third Republic of Ghana (Dr Hilla Limann), Dr Zilla Limann has vowed never to attend the funeral of Jerry John Rawlings should he die.
Dr Zilla Limann answering a question on whether she will attend the funeral of Jerry Rawlings should he die made it clear that even though Jerry Rawlings attended her father’s funeral but she will personally not attend his should he die. She said this during an interview on Zylofon FM on Monday.
Dr Zilla who thinks there is no link connecting her and Jerry Rawlings said:
“Me? No! No! Not at all. I don’t know him like that to go to his funeral… For me, I think there is a really personal thing. I need to know you or your family or there has to be a link or whatever. It will not even cross my mind”.
According to the political history of Ghana, Dr Limann was elected in 1979, sworn in on September 24, 1979, as President of the Third Republic but was unfortunately overthrown on 31st December 1981 by the AFRC led by Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings.
Dr Hilla Limann after failing to bounce back as a politician died on January 23, 1998.
Dr Zilla Limann added that her decision not to attend the funeral of Jerry Rawlings should he die is personal and has nothing to do with Rawlings overthrowing his father.
Dr Zilla Limann who is the sixth daughter of former President Limann is happily married to Hiplife legend Reggie Rockstone.
