Agya Koo claims Kumawood producers once sat down and decided not to cast him in movies anymore because they wanted to sabotage his career, but a top Kumawood producer has come out to rubbish that assertion.
According to Michael Afrane, Agya Koo’s problem is his massive pride and ego and that is what has brought him every challenge he has encountered in his career.
The legendary comic actor has complained so much that he has been blacklisted by Kumawood producers and that has stalled his career.
But Afrane, in response, denied that.
“The pride was just too much. He has himself to blame and no one else. Producers could no longer accommodate his conduct and had to let him go”, he said.
Reacting to Agya Koo’s claim that he’s peerless in the industry and that nobody measures up to him, Afrane said he cannot say that because he needs others to make his movies succeed.

”If you cast Agya Koo alone in a movie will you get any patronage? He leans on the support of others to break barriers. He should also be reminded that he succeeded from others.
“If he claims he is the best, who was there before he took over. I have listened to the tape but I just don’t want to react”, he added.
