Zylofon media did sign some few famous Ghanaian musicians onto their record label Zylofon music and these included the controversial dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, gospel singer Joyce Blessing, Kumi Guitar, the BET award winner Stonebwoy and some others but the majority of Ghanaians were expecting to see the name of their Hiplife artiste, the king of Ghanaian rap music Sarkodie but unfortunately his name didn’t appear in the list of signed musicians.
There have been many rumours that Zylofon Media tried to get Sarkodie signed for joining Zylofon media record label but there is no confirmed report from Zylofon media or from the Rap King himself about it.
These, therefore, became the biggest questions going through the minds of many Ghanaians. Did Zylofon Media approach Sarkodie? Did Sarkodie refuse to sign for Zylofon media? Did he not meet their expectations? Was the money involved too small for the African Rap king to accept their offer or He just rejected their offer in other to be independent?
It’s known that the African Rap King manages his own record label known as the Sarkcess music which has some of the famous Ghanaian artistes signed for him. This could probably be the reason why the artiste remained independent.
