Kumi Guitar has been making news in recent days, after he famously went down on his knees to beg bloggers for publicity.
The artist, signed to Zylofon Media, doesn’t seem to be having the best of times in his career at the moment.
According to Yaw Boadu Ayeboafoh-Junior, a Ghanaian music producer, Kumi Guitar is suffering because he was ungrateful to those who hustled with him from the beginning.
In a revealing Facebook post, Ayeboafoh alleged that after Guitar got his Zylofon Media deal, he ‘dawged’ those who invested in his early career because money was now flowing his way.
“B4 ZylofonMedia Abeiku Sankofi did all the dirty work for Kumi Guitar, Zylofon comes in how is Abeiku benefitting? And you come and kneel. Borga we pass that level, even money no fi get you the AirPlay.” he posted.
The highlife crooner got signed to Zylofon Media as one of its first artists but as the years roll by, he’s not been able to generate the buzz needed to justify the massive investment made in him, forcing him to kneel and beg for attention.
