The ridiculous fight over feminism in Ghana continues as another splinter group forms, this time formed by men.
Led by Hitz Fm presenter Michael Wiafe, aka Mic Gizo, ‘PamperDem GH’ is apparently in response to ‘SugarDem GH’ – aimed at pampering ladies after they decided to ‘sugar’ men.
If you’re getting confused with all these groups, you’re not alone.
Pepper Dem Ministries was the initial feminist group whose militancy alienated many, especially after a comment was attributed to one member claiming a woman cooking for the husband is practically a slave.
In response to that, ‘SugarDem GH’ was formed by Afia Pokuaa, who claimed women were created to cook for their men and ‘sugar’ them in any other way possible provided they are ready to pamper them in return.
Somehow, that has now led to the formation of PamperDem GH. The group says their job is to appreciate the work women do and to counter the propaganda of Pepper Dem.
“PamperDem GH is a group dedicated to celebrate women for their hard work and unflinching support in their various homes and relationships. Furthermore, we stand to preach and educate women for the betterment of the country as a whole.” founder Wiafe said.
“We created PamperDem GH to appreciate women and “fight” against the propaganda disseminated by some feminists who are suggesting that women cooking for husbands are slaves…” he added.
The group is holding a pampering session for ladies on the 9th of March, as reward for the ‘sugaring’ they received from Sugar Dem on Valentine’s Day. Men booked to appear so far include Kofi Adjorlolo, Okyeame Kwame, John Dumelo, Prince David Osei, and Captain Planet who will be there to “treat our ladies to some massage in the quest to pamper them.”
