It’s the nature of humans that when things are going well for you, everyone follows you but immediately you hit on hard times, people abandon you like a leper.
We even have a saying for it — success has many fathers but failure is an orphan.
William Ramzy Amui, known professionally as Ramzy, hit fame in Ghana over a decade ago when he dazzled on the first season of Stars of the Future.
Ramzy finished second and everything seemed to be going on well for him until he was imprisoned for 10 years on robbery charges.
That was when he discovered that failure really is an orphan as everyone he knew and loved abandoned him.
Now out of prison, Ramzy narrated what happened to him to Kafui Dey.
He revealed that his girlfriend abandoned him after he served only one month of his sentence, and his lawyer (Capt Effah Dartey), his manager (Quophi Okyeame), Charterhouse and a host of other people all abandoned him.
“Retired Captain Effah Darteh never appeared in court on the judgement day to defend me. But I realised there were some spiritual attacks connected to me going through prison.” he said.
“Organisers of ‘Stars of the future’ Charterhouse, crew, nobody visited me, none of the contestants came to visit me, unfortunately my manager Okyeame Quophi also never visited me.” Ramzy revealed.
