CHRIS-VINCENT WRITES: Our Leaders Are Lazy Thinkers And Not Innovative, Probably Waiting For A Celebrity To Die Before Fixing The Issues With Tema Motorway

Road accidents have plagued this country for as long as any of us can remember and as usual our leaders just stuff their heads into the sand and pretend nothing is going on.
The Tema Motorway, which should be the crown jewel of Ghana’s road network system, has suffered from the usual Ghanaian lack of maintenance and has become a death trap of its own at key sections.
There is a noticeable lack of street lights on the road and it contains gargantuan potholes all of which cause a danger to road users yet the problem has lingered for years.
Founding Editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com, Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri, has railed against the dangerous established order and the cowardice of our politicians in failing to fix the issues.

According to Chris, our lazy leaders are waiting for someone prominent to die on the road before taking some useless temporary measure which would not last.
Check out his post below…
The last time I used the Tema Motorway is about 4 months ago, so pardon my grave ignorance if this issue has been fixed.
Of course, I am certain it has not been fixed, because it has lingered on for many years.
How come there are no street lights on the Tema Motorway and all the road markings have disappeared?
I am told the Aishaman guys regularly come and steal the copper cables and therefore there’s no point in constantly replacing it when it will be stolen.
Yeah: that’s our plausible answer.
So if we blame the Aishaman thieves for the non presence of street lights, what about the plenty valley-like potholes and the erosion that has eaten into some parts of the road? I guess the Aishaman boys do that too—anytime we fix it.
Our leaders are just lazy thinkers and therefore are not innovative. Probably, they are just wicked and do not care.
Copper thievery is a big business even in the UK, especially when it comes to the railway lines. Yet I have not heard that they have abandoned railway lines because anytime they lay the copper cables, some douche bags steal them. They find ways to protect the copper cables or consider alternatives through innovation.
Almost all the big men in Accra use the Motorway. But they have not seen the potholes and the darkness that engulf it each night.
We are waiting for a ghastly accident involving an important person before we fix the Motorway, temporary—our usual methods.
A friend said: Chris, why do you bother yourself with black nations? Just name one prosperous Black country and if you find one, then have hope that things will change!
It’s not just Africa, look at the Caribbean too. It seems we are fucking our own asses—and we enjoy it so much, at least the fuckers do.
Must “God” come and fix this too for us?
