CNN Says Moesha Boduong Does Not Represent All Ghanaian Women

At this point I feel it as nothing more than a joke when Africans keep complaining about ‘negative’ coverage from Western media. Even the Ghanaian media finds it easy to fish out negative stories all the time because we are swimming in it, therefore how surprising can it be that the Western media does manage to find some?
In the case of Moesha Boduong, this is not even the case of ‘negative’ coverage; this is a grown woman wio has brains in her head but refused to use it.
Amanpour did not put a gun to her head, therefore any embarrassment she might have caused Ghana is purely her entire fault and no one else’s.
However some people are still intent of calling out CNN for interviewing Moesha but according to the official CNN Africa twitter handle, they do not consider Moesha as a mouthpiece for all Ghanaian women.

A twitter user tweeted at the CNN handle: “As always, black women are portrayed in a negative and sexualized way. When will this stop @CNNAfrica @camanpour”
But the account replied: “This is one woman’s view. We don’t take it to represent all of Ghana. If you take a good look around our page, you will see positive portrayals of Africans. We are always happy to hear your story suggestions so please message us.”
